- ➤ A UW alumnus and a professor of statistics published a study that shows spatially balanced rotating panel designs can lower time and cost for reclamation projects — introducing a new approach to efficient local practices. Laramie Boomerang
- ➤ Chase Markel, a University of Wyoming Ph.D. student from Wheatland, is using an AI model to study risk factors for congestive heart failure in cattle. His research+which uses advanced technology could help local animal scientists better understand cattle health. Laramie Boomerang

- ➤ Laramie Fire Department reported nearly full success with its Keep the Wreath Red campaign when it removed the holiday wreath from Station 1 at 209 S. 4th St. after the season ended. Laramie Boomerang
- ➤ Veteran Griffith, with experience in the Department of Defense and education roles, has been named director of UW Veterans Services Center — a position at the Marna M. Kuehne Foundation — and will lead service improvements for veterans. Laramie Boomerang
