- ➤ The Wyoming Stock Growers Land Trust has named five new board members (ranching, conservation, law, finance, community) to guide efforts that support working lands in the state today. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ UW researchers and Williams Companies are developing a pilot facility to convert oil field waste into hydrogen fuel near Cheyenne, aiming to produce one ton of hydrogen per day. It could be operational by next fall if additional funding arrives. Cowboy State Daily
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The University of Wyoming is ranked 99th overall and 61st among public institutions in TIME Magazine’s “The World’s Top Universities of 2026” list — a recognition that highlights rising research funds and patent filings. - ➤ Carbon County Sheriff Alex Bakken will run a 100-mile ultramarathon on the Big Horn Mountain Trail in June to raise funds for new communications gear for his department and to highlight how property tax cuts strain rural public safety operations. Cowboy State Daily
