- ➤ BioLife Plasma Services closed its Casper and Laramie centers on Feb. 3, leaving local donors who rely on plasma income without notice. Donors now must drive nearly two-and-a-half hours to the Cheyenne center, which remains open — adding hardship for those in need. Cowboy State Daily
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Wyoming began solar spring today, adding over 70 minutes of daylight in February. Meteorologists say warmer air mixed with a drop of Arctic cold and Pacific moisture may trigger winter weather changes next week. Cowboy State Daily

- ➤ The USDA launched a new online portal in January to track foreign ownership of agricultural land for enhancing protection near sensitive sites. Wyoming lawmakers urge tighter oversight even as local brokers report that foreign holdings remain minimal, with Albany County having the highest levels. Cowboy State Daily
- ➤ Jeff Davis (formerly of Colorado Parks and Wildlife) assumed the role as Deputy Director of Wyoming Game and Fish on Feb. 2, replacing retired Doug Brimeyer; he now leads external affairs and policy as the department tackles statewide wildlife challenges. Laramie Live
