  • Albany County School District 1 is set to begin demolition of the former Slade Elementary School — the board of trustees unanimously approved a slate of measures to move the project forward.  Laramie Boomerang
  • After years of planning, the Wyoming Department of Education passed a Senate committee review for its statewide K-12 reading program bill, and state leaders say it will boost literacy in local schools+communities as it moves to the next legislative step.  Laramie Boomerang

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A legislative committee forwarded Senate File 25 on Tuesday to the Senate, allowing the Game and Fish Commission to cap landowner hunting tags in select hunt areas - a move designed to keep landowners from claiming all tags.  Cowboy State Daily
  • State Senate and House committees advanced bills on Monday and Tuesday to reform the Wyoming Business Council rather than defund it, aiming to strengthen state economic management.  Laramie Boomerang
