- ➤ Laramie Main Street Alliance released its 2025 report on Feb. 18, highlighting downtown growth with 16 new businesses, 40 jobs, and a $36 investment multiplier for every dollar spent. LMSA will use public feedback with the city and Downtown Development Authority to update downtown plans this year. County 5
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The University of Wyoming’s Jay Kemmerer WORTH Institute has partnered with local fishing guides to launch its inaugural advanced fishing guide course—aiming to boost outdoor recreation education. The program will offer improved skills for guides and expand local tourism opportunities. Laramie Boomerang
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ UW led a pilot project that ran on Highway 85 north of Cheyenne from spring to fall 2024 using AI and fiber-optic sensors to help WYDOT detect hazardous road conditions more swiftly. Partners included Range + the University of Cincinnati, and federal funds supported the study. County 5
