EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ After the National Science Foundation announced on Feb. 12 that operations at the Cheyenne supercomputer facility are expected to shift to a third-party, the University of Wyoming now has an opportunity to assume its management, which could boost local research (details are pending). GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Saturday, the Wyoming House narrowly approved an amendment to cut at least $20 million from funding for the state's only four-year public university in Cheyenne. Lawmakers will consider the measure as part of the state budget review, a decision that could impact the University of Wyoming. Laramie Boomerang
- ➤ Applications for the Laramie Police Department Community Academy, a six-week program meeting Wednesdays from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Police Department, are open until March 18 for Albany County residents.
