- ➤ Fort Caspar Museum is planning an exhibit on the 30-year anniversary of Starship Troopers filming at Hell's Half Acre in Casper. The exhibit will feature storyboards, photos and memorabilia from the summer 1996 production that boosted local tourism. Cowboy State Daily
- ➤ Bronze artist Chris Navarro dedicated his 15.5-foot tribute 'A Deep Seat and a Long Rein' to Wyoming's iconic rodeo bronc Steamboat at a new roundabout on UW campus on Oct. 13, marking the 40th monument of his 40-year career. Cowboy State Daily
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Ranchers are testing new flashing ear tags called FlashTags to deter coyotes, wolves and other predators from attacking livestock. Researchers say the motion-activated tags, which charge by solar energy, have shown promise in trials in Wyoming and Montana when attached to 10 to 15% of the animals. Cowboy State Daily

- ➤ Today, the City of Laramie's Parks, Recreation & Public Services and ETC Institute are asking residents to complete a survey that will guide future parks and recreation improvements; participants also can enter a prize drawing. County 5
