  • In a study of UW traditions, historian John Waggener revealed that Pistol Pete, UW's cowboy mascot, began in 1969 when San Jose State student Don Bogdan donned cowboy gear and a flag (Bang!) after a spirited football game; the beloved figure now inspires fans at local sporting events.  Cowboy State Daily
  • Wyoming singer Ned LeDoux released a duet of God Must Be a Cowboy on March 13 that blends his vocals with archived tracks of Dan Seals, and he made his film debut in Outriding the Devil and Buffalo Daze. He will open for Ian Munsick at Red Rocks soon.  Cowboy State Daily
