  • Residents in Platte County raised $10k to pay for Pancho’s spinal surgery after his degenerative disease worsened—donations came from a local effort and a GoFundMe campaign with support from Texas. The much-loved K-9 officer, who is set to retire soon, helped keep the community safe.  Cowboy State Daily
  • A new nonprofit, Generous Roots Garden Company, is offering seeds selected to thrive in the Bighorn Basin’s unique climate—using proven varieties from the Worland Community Garden to help Wyoming gardeners start successful spring plantings. Soil scientist Caitlin Youngquist and Washakie County Conservation District coordinator Janet Hofmann said the program will fund the community garden and guide local seed selection for better yields.  Cowboy State Daily

SPORTS NEWS

  • Former University of Wyoming football star Frank Crum beat the odds by making the Broncos roster as an undrafted rookie last season—he signed a three-year contract and played in six games that helped the team win five times. He plans to study film and work on his technique during spring workouts in April as he builds a lasting NFL career.  Cowboy State Daily
