ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ The Albany County Sheriff’s Office responded to a search and rescue incident in the Vedauwoo Recreation Area when hikers ventured approximately five miles into the backcountry without proper gear, using four-wheelers to reach them safely and urging visitors to plan ahead for changing weather. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Backyard Laramie is hosting a 4.17-mile race that will crown the final runner as Pronghorn King or Queen. The course begins at the Pilot Hill trailhead on the east end of Willett Drive and winds across the prairie. Laramie Boomerang
- ➤ Due to a mild winter, Wyoming’s turkey numbers are expected to rise, prompting early gobbling activity as hunters gear up for the spring season opening April 20 in northeast Wyoming; veteran bow hunter Zac Hearon (a former combat vet) uses his trained service dog Reaper on local hunts.
