- ➤ On April 17, Laramie Elks Lodge 582 presented a check for $40,960.80 to IAFF Local 946 to support injured firefighters, using funds raised from over 750 community members at the Tacos and Margaritas for a Cause event held on April 4. - ➤ On Wednesday, April 16 at around 12:57 p.m., a 56-year-old Laramie County man died when he lost control and rolled his car near the intersection of County Road 138 and County Road 203—officials said speed likely contributed to the crash. Laramie Live

- ➤ About 1,500 acres on Pole Mountain in Medicine Bow National Forest near Laramie will be treated with prescribed fire by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service starting as early as Monday, April 21.
