  • A Colorado woman pleaded not guilty Monday to charges that she and an acquaintance planned a bomb threat at the Laramie County Governmental Complex in September to disrupt her trial.  Laramie Boomerang

  • Max Gilbraith from the University of Wyoming said a rare triple conjunction of Venus, Saturn and the crescent moon will appear as a 'space smiley' in the eastern sky on Friday morning between 5 a.m. and 5:15 a.m.—skywatchers should choose a high spot with an unobstructed view of the eastern horizon to catch the bright display.  Cowboy State Daily

  • Laramie residents are urged by the City to apply for a free landfill voucher that offers one free trip to dispose of up to 2.5 cubic yards of trash and recyclables—roughly the size of a full pickup truck bed—from May 5 through September 20; applicants must show proof of Albany County residence and apply by August 1.  County 5
  • Columnist Tom Lubnau explained that Wyoming law stops public boards from revealing why government employees are disciplined or fired. He said the silence protects employee reputations and keeps details private to avoid harmful rumors.  Cowboy State Daily
  • The Wyoming State AFL-CIO said Gov. Mark Gordon did not do enough to lower workplace deaths as fatalities spiked by 25% to 45 in 2023—the highest count in 16 years.
