- ➤ The Renners’ rescue dog from California got lost Tuesday in a whiteout and, after a community search, a newlywed couple hiking at Hidden Falls spotted him and contacted his owners using his collar (with their contact info) to bring him home safely. Cowboy State Daily
- ➤ Wyoming’s Kindness Ranch will rescue 70 dogs and cats from a Colorado research lab this week. The rescue, one of its largest, includes about 40 beagles and 29 cats that will receive care and training for adoption while the ranch asks for local volunteers to help socialize and walk the animals. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Archaeologists and volunteers from the Hoofprints of the Past Museum uncovered more than 700 artifacts from the Portuguese Houses, Wyoming’s oldest fur trading fort built in 1834 — their findings support accounts of a 40-day Sioux siege and reveal Jim Bridger’s role in local fur trade rivalries.
