A federal lawsuit was filed in Wyoming by a Colorado attorney and a Washington D.C. law group to challenge House Bill 156— a law that will require voters to show proof of citizenship and residency starting July 1.
The suit claims the new rule makes it harder for women and others to vote—raising concerns about equal treatment for all citizens.
