➤ Historian Rick Ewig is set to release his new book, We Are In Charge Now, that details how Cheyenne’s mayor and police chief extorted Black bar owners in 1944 — a story drawn from documents at the American Heritage Center. ➤ Saturday Night Live veteran Tim Meadows will perform in Wyoming for the first time in four decades as part of a four-show tour that includes his appearance at the Gryphon Theatre (June 11) in Laramie. The fundraiser benefits local charities. Cowboy State Daily
