- ➤ Libby Flats Observation Area, built by the CCC in the 1930s, is open along the Snowy Range Byway offering sweeping views and dark skies ideal for stargazing; local photographer David Peel praises its timeless charm (ideal for capturing the Milky Way). Cowboy State Daily
- ➤ Historian Rick Ewig is set to release his new book, We Are In Charge Now, that details how Cheyenne’s mayor and police chief extorted Black bar owners in 1944 — a story drawn from documents at the American Heritage Center. The 200-page book will soon be available in local bookstores. Cowboy State Daily
- ➤ Saturday Night Live veteran Tim Meadows will perform in Wyoming for the first time in four decades as part of a four-show tour that includes his appearance at the Gryphon Theatre (June 11) in Laramie. The fundraiser benefits local charities. Cowboy State Daily

- ➤ The Libertarian Party held a convention in Green River on May 31, where combat medic and attorney Shawn Johnson accepted the nomination to run for U.S. House.
