  • Wyoming legislators met on Friday to discuss regulating extreme range hunting after a Fremont County hunter shot an animal from nearly 2,000 yards, raising ethics and safety concerns. The committee said long distance shots—widely debated for fairness and safety—are hard to regulate because rapid advances in firearms and optics make clear rules challenging.  Cowboy State Daily
  • Wyoming lawmakers did not advance a ban on lab-grown meat as House Bill 168 nearly passed last year but stalled in the Senate, and they now plan to review it after gathering more input. Local ranchers support strict labeling—rather than a ban—to protect traditional beef and avoid hurting Wyoming cowboys and the local economy.  Cowboy State Daily
