- ➤ Laramie firefighter Dylan Schilt was left temporarily paralyzed when a stone chimney chase collapsed on him during a house fire call on Feb. 28—injuring his back, ankle and lung—and after 16 weeks of recovery he walked out of a physical therapy center in Denver and returned home where he continues outpatient therapy. - ➤ Laramie-based Airloom Energy received Pentagon approval for two SBIR applications—each potentially awarding $1.25 million—and is set to begin building a prototype of its new, smaller wind turbine design this summer. CEO Neal Rickner said the company is also talking with a data center and local developers to quickly bring its efficient wind energy solution to military bases and other projects. Cowboy State Daily

- ➤ The Medicine Bow National Forest will share LaVA project details and ask for public input in June and July using several feedback methods — the project will cover new focus areas like Cottonwood and Libby as well as previous ones such as Barrett and Middle Douglas. - ➤ Wyoming farmers and ranchers supported a bill approved on Monday to boost federal oversight of foreign ownership of agricultural land. - ➤ On Thursday, about 300 people gathered at the Wyoming Capitol in Cheyenne to protest Sen. Mike Lee's proposal to sell or transfer federal public lands. Rep. Karlee Provenza of Laramie organized the rally—local residents waved signs and cheered to block the plan. Cowboy State Daily
