The Albany County Sheriff’s Office arrested suspects and seized fentanyl after multiple vehicle burglaries were reported on June 25 at Vedauwoo Recreation Area—east of Laramie.

Gabriel Seth Rodgers, a Wyoming man extradited from Mexico and wanted on charges of trafficking meth and fentanyl, accepted a plea deal last week and will plead guilty on July 15 in Cheyenne—he faces enhanced penalties because of prior drug convictions.

The intersection at Spruce and Garfield will close on July 14 for a valley pan installation and northbound traffic on Spruce will be routed east on Cedar Street with left turns onto Garfield unavailable.

The intersection will reopen on July 21 for trough traffic while access to Greenbelt Trailhead, Optimist Park, and local businesses remains available—contact the Streets Department for details.
