ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A study shows teen driving deaths in Wyoming are nearly triple the national average with almost 34 fatalities per 100,000 teens and more than 23 speeding deaths per 100,000, while no DUI deaths were reported in 2022. The report says the state’s 10-day learner period leaves teens with only a few weeks of supervised driving—placing Wyoming among the worst in the nation for teen driving fatalities. Laramie Live
- ➤ A lightning strike hit the Platte substation near Sinclair Sunday night, cutting power to about 5,600 customers in southern Carbon County for 16 hours and causing school delays and traffic issues until crews restored power around 11:30 a.m. Monday — local police managed intersections with emergency four-way stop signs. - ➤ In Wyoming, the onX Hunt app’s GPS can be off by a few yards—putting hunters at risk of trespassing on private land and fines up to $1,000 plus loss of hunting privileges.
