Residents in Laramie have rallied behind a plan for a new nursing home after years of community concerns and a state law roadblock led lawmakers to push for change.

Local officials say the revised rules could clear the way for construction soon.

City officials reported traffic issues at the HAWK Signal intersection on Grand and 19th on August 27 and urged Laramie drivers and pedestrians to review a guide for proper use of the signal—residents are encouraged to follow the guide to prevent future problems.

On the Report to Wyoming podcast, John Kotek—an energy official—said Wyoming will boost its economy by leading in nuclear energy and updating its waste management plans.

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins and Forest Service Chief Tom Schultz announced steps to rescind the 2001 Roadless Rule that has kept new roads out of national forests across Wyoming’s high country—opening up for new road construction in areas like the Wyoming Range—and the Forest Service will publish a notice on Friday with a public comment period until Sept. 19, which has raised concern among outdoor groups about impacts on hunting and fishing.
