  • Uranium Energy Corp announced plans to build the nation’s largest uranium refining facility and began a formal site selection process that considers Wyoming for its skilled workforce+ favorable conditions. The project will support fuel security for new reactors while competing with Texas as companies work to secure critical supply chains.  Cowboy State Daily

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Senator Cynthia Lummis and Congresswoman Harriet Hageman joined other lawmakers in filing an amicus curiae brief before the U.S. Supreme Court to defend First Choice Women’s Resource Centers after a subpoena demanded donor records, arguing that it violated the center’s First Amendment right to association based on its pro-life views + the brief claims the action targets the group’s faith-based mission.  Laramie Live
  • The southern 3.5-mile section of Forest Road 543 in the Snowy Range is closed from September 2 until October 31 for road work and culvert replacement—barricades mark its junctions with Forest Roads 512 and 542. Private landowners can access their property via Road 542 while visitors use alternate routes in the Medicine Bow National Forest.  County 5
  • WYDOT has begun work on a new turn lane into Laramie Regional Airport from Highway 130 to improve safety at the main entrance. For about two weeks, traffic exiting from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM will detour onto Aerospace Drive until it rejoins Highway 130—which may cause delays for travelers.  County 5
