- ➤ Julie Sandberg Read and Lori Sandberg Wobick were named as grand marshals for the UW Homecoming Parade at 10 a.m. today—both distinguished UW alumni recognized for their contributions. Laramie Boomerang
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Deerwood Ranch Wild Horse EcoSanctuary is hosting its annual open day today from 9 a.m.—3 p.m. when visitors can view Wyoming’s wild horses and learn about the sanctuary’s work. Laramie Boomerang
- ➤ On Saturday, September 27th, volunteers near Laramie will join National Public Lands Day events at projects managed by the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests and Thunder Basin National Grassland, with check-in starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Washington Park Otto Dahl Shelter—where donuts, coffee, and briefings are provided—before heading to Vedauwoo sites for fence building and recreation maintenance. Transportation is available for University of Wyoming students and necessary supplies are provided. County 5
