- ➤ Today, Wyoming senators Barrasso and Lummis announced a $625 million Department of Energy plan to boost coal production by opening 13.1 million acres of federal land and revising regional haze rules—moves meant to support local miners and strengthen energy security. Laramie Live
- ➤ The City of Laramie plans to install new stop signs on Knadler Street at the intersection with Bath Street—this proposed change will be reviewed at the Traffic Safety Commission meeting on October 9, and the public is invited to attend. City of Laramie
- ➤ Cameron Wright, the former UW dean, says he was demoted as retaliation after he refused to move state funds for a computing school run by the president’s partner—he filed a lawsuit that survived a court hearing on Tuesday. The judge ruled the case will continue while UW’s use of administrative remedies is examined. Cowboy State Daily
