  • ➤ After a botched election in Weston County last fall, Wyoming lawmakers debate switching from voting machines to hand counting ballots—facing challenges like training, volunteer shortages, and cost—while potential bills may be proposed in 2026 subject to Gov.   • ➤ Gov. Mark Gordon has hired former state representative Amy Edmonds as his new communications director; she previously advised Rep. Liz Cheney and will begin work on Monday.  Cowboy State Daily

HEALTH NEWS

  • ➤ The Wyoming Department of Health finished its series of public meetings by hosting a town hall at the University of Wyoming student union to ask locals for input on rural health care — officials will use the feedback to guide future improvements.  Laramie Boomerang

  • ➤ The Laramie Plainsmen will host the Natrona County Mustangs on Friday at 6 p.m. at Deti Stadium as they try to break a 20-game losing streak against the Mustangs since 2001 — both teams currently have a record of two wins and three losses.  Laramie Live
