- ➤ The University of Wyoming Wind Symphony will present its special concert 'Revolution: Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom' at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 19 at the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts + the event will mark a historic milestone in American freedom. Laramie Boomerang
- ➤ Lander author Jessica Baehr, who has Tourette syndrome, released her novel Madame in September and used her experiences to create a fictional account of a French countess with uncontrolled tics—she is now working on a follow-up about the countess's mother. Baehr turns her personal challenges into a creative tool that highlights the unique voice of those living with the condition. Cowboy State Daily

- ➤ The University of Wyoming will host its fall Readiness Rally on November 19 at the Wyoming Union to celebrate student success—students, faculty and staff will gather to recognize academic preparedness. Laramie Boomerang
- ➤ The Albany County School District 1 Board of Trustees voted to sell surplus properties, including the long-closed Old Slade Elementary — a move aimed at addressing budget needs while considering community priorities. The board said the sale would help balance financial considerations before future planning proceeds. Laramie Boomerang

- ➤ Columnist Bill Sniffin remembered Wyoming television icons Dick Cheney, Al Simpson, Gerry Spence, and Foster Friess who shaped the state’s image on national TV over 40 years — Cheney died on Nov 3 while Simpson, Spence, and Friess passed away earlier, marking a challenging year for these prominent figures. Join us at Optimist Park/Greenbelt for a 5K or 1 mile run on Thanksgiving morning. Registration opens at 7:30AM with the 1 miler starting at 8:30 and the 5K at 9:00AM.
