- ➤ After losing a bet on a horse race in England, Moreton Frewen—an adventurer—moved to Wyoming in 1879 to start a cattle ranch near the Powder River. - ➤ Wyoming pilot Matt Guthmiller, who flew solo around the world and owns a fighter jet in Alpine, starred in the new Disney+ comedy series 'The Worst Flight Around The World' that premiered Nov. 7. - ➤ A widespread power outage disrupted electric service for 95,000 customers after two 500 kilovolt transmission lines near Medicine Bow tripped at 12:45 p.m., causing a chain reaction that shut down additional lines and triggered a fire at the Dave Johnston coal plant that was quickly controlled. By 4:30 p.m., nearly half of the customers had power restored — officials warn that unstable grid conditions may lead to further outages tonight. Laramie Live
