- ➤ Inmates in the Youthful Offender Transition Program at Wyoming State Penitentiary have restored roughly 2,000 pairs of eyeglasses through the Lions Club Recycle for Sight Program — their work gives hope to people needing clear vision since October 20th. Laramie Live

- ➤ Bill Sniffin wrote a column with ideas for Christmas gifts made by neighbors in Wyoming (custom cutting boards from Fabel's Furniture, books, local art) and urged readers to shop local to support small businesses and the local economy. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Permits to cut Christmas trees on Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests in northwest Colorado and southeastern Wyoming are available online, at select offices, and through local vendors; each permit costs $10 plus a $2.50 fee and allows one tree with a limit of five per household, with eligible fourth graders receiving a free permit. Cutting is not allowed in designated Wilderness and developed recreation areas—buyers should check local regulations—before harvesting. County 5
- ➤ The City of Laramie will begin installing shared lane markings called Sharrows on several streets starting December 3, following recommendations from the Traffic Safety Commission. Approximately 229 markings will be added along high priority corridors—residents may experience brief disruptions during the work. County 5
