- ➤ German missionaries decorated Wyoming’s first Christmas tree at Deer Creek near Glenrock in 1858; using candles, carols and small gifts, they shared German holiday traditions with Native Americans, sparking a custom that grew in schools, churches and homes across the state. Cowboy State Daily
- ➤ Wyoming singer-songwriter Ned LeDoux is stepping into films with his role in Outriding the Devil, which premieres Tuesday at the Virgin Hotel during the National Finals Rodeo— and he will star as a sheriff in Buffalo Daze next month. Cowboy State Daily

- ➤ The BLM now offers $1 permits for Christmas trees and firewood until Jan. 31 to help families save money and reduce wildfire risks in woodlands near Laramie. Residents can get up to ten cords of firewood and three trees when they visit designated cutting areas. Laramie Live
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The FDA issued a recall of over 260,000 cases of shredded cheese sold in 31 states, including products at local retailers such as Target+Walmart and Aldi, after potential metal fragments were found.
