- ➤ The Wyoming Historical Society announced it has ended its county chapters to allow local groups more control by forming independent nonprofit entities—critics say the move undermines a decades-old system and has left many in the historical community feeling disrespected and uncertain about the future. - ➤ Former House Speaker Tom Lubnau warned that eliminating property taxes will shift the burden to local taxpayers—forcing higher sales taxes and loss of federal PILT payments—and said that a proposal to ease the burden by using sales tax for residential properties was rejected by the Freedom Caucus.
